What does the name 'Dinos' mean?

'Dinos' is the short form of 'Dinosaurs', it's not an acronym.   This project aims to study massive elliptical galaxies, which are analogous to dinosaurs in the galaxy kingdom: massive, prehistoric (made of old stars), and dead (no ongoing star formation).
